Exciting New Purchases

My nutritionist appointment got rescheduled for tomorrow, so on the eating/binging/recovering/properly fueling front I am no different than this morning.Sorrry for the disappointment (if there is any??)

However I did make two exciting purchases today to share with you.

1. New running sneakers. Mine were beginning to hurt my feet, especially after my 6 miler on Saturday. Now, we all saw the sneakers I had in a previous post that I wanted, they were hot pink and all types of beautiful. Unfortunately, no store carries them anymore! I even looked on the Asics website to find that they were missing from there as well. It was sad. It was heartbreaking. Tears were shed. And then I found a pair for such a good price, I felt better πŸ™‚

Hello, beauties. The best part? I had a twenty dollar coupon so these cost me….. $33 dollars!

Jeal much? I’d be.

2. Okay, call me a nerd, or a freak but I am more than excited to start purchasing “teacher” stuff. You know the bulletin board stuff and the workbooks and flashcards and all the goodness. I will spend hours looking in catalogs looking at teacher supplies making my dream list. Right now, I don’t have the exact need for it (I don’t have my own classroom or class, I sort of borrow from other teacher). In the future, I wont have the means for it. So it is fruitless lusting but still fascinates me. I was more than exciting to begin tutoring tomorrow and wanted some supplies to help my little nugget with her reading.

Β There was absolutely no need to get this stuff but I know in the future I will use it all and its good to start a collection, right? Any teachers out there with some input? Well, it made my night to feel like a real teacher while I bough instructional activities to help a struggling student. I also ordered some Phonic flashcards and a monkey hand puppet off of Amazon. I am more than excited to be a teacher and this makes me feel like a legtimate teacher πŸ™‚

Those were the highlights of my day.

Funny how shopping and even spending just a few dollars can invigorate your love for something (i.e., running and teaching).

Goodnight, Friends!

  1. FUN! …. From a teacher, it is a GREAT idea to buy things ahead of time because your first few years of teaching and student teaching things are tight and you need a lot! BUT, I would stay away from anything that is grade specific because you never know what grade you’ll be teaching. If you can use it to teach more than one grade- PERFECT!
PS- your new shoes are super cute!

    • Thanks for the advice! I am planning on getting my specialization in Pre-School so I am kind of positive that buying stuff for really young grades would be more than appropriate! I figure its a good idea to stock up on some things when I can still use Dad’s Credit Card, doesnt quite work the same when you have your own big girl job and still have Daddy buying your materials so I will capitalize on it now! I am so glad to find a teacher who I can shoot ideas off from!

  2. New clothes always get me motivated to dress up πŸ™‚

  3. Okay, $33 for those shoes!? Please show me where you get these magical coupons

I am super jealous of your sneakers!! Especially since you paid only 33$ for them. I want a pair πŸ™‚
