Four Years Later

Lets be real: Me and my boyfriend have been together longer than most Hollywood couples

This weekend was mine and Mike’s four-year anniversary and it was a great one!

But first, great things happened on Friday!

We had dinner at One!Fresh; an awesome  stir-fry place in Tallahassee.

I had a BOGO coupon so it was an easy pick for dinner.

Then I saw Quinoa on the menu.

I was intrigued.

I have witessed Quinoa recipes practically taking over the blog world.

And blogs have  never steered me wrong.

um, delicious.

Black beans, red peppers, water chestnuts, broccoli and a light ginger sauce.

It went ALL in my tummy and I was in love.

Then I researched the health benefits of Quinoa on the internet. It’s a complete protein (I was eating incomplete protein) packed with antioxidants and minerals that make my body happy. Also, it is though to prevent diabetes, cataracts, asthma, and breast cancer?!  It saves my girls, sign me up for more!

After filling my belly and gaining a Buddha belly, we went to a pub with friends

The next day was the big day.

The anniversary day.

After four years together we have endured an eating disorder, the death of a close friend, leaving home together, college, a broken leg, mono (oops), plenty of petty fights, his favorite sports teams disappointing him practically year after year, and plenty more.

But with him there, none of it all seemed that bad. How this boy can make me go into a giggle fest and smile even when I want to kill someone is beyond me. How he never ceases to amaze me with his huge heart baffles me. And the way he can love me, even when I provide him with plenty of reason not to is .. well, beautiful.

Not everyone believes in soul mates but not ever one had met their Mike yet.

These presents have been staring at me for way too long. I have been resisting the temptation to look.

It was worth the wait! Honestly though, he never disappoints me. Each year the presents from him are always great!!! (Another reason one should find their Mike)

Earrings :), running capris, a bumblebee toy, and candy

Then we went to dinner at Bella Bella; an adorable Italian restaurant.

Greatest thing was that we could both could celebrate by ordering drinks at dinner together! We are definitely getting old !! 🙂

And ended our date night by seeing Lion King in 3D

(perhaps, seeing lion king undid all the maturity I gained by drinking wine at dinner) (( Also, is that picture not great? A lion wearing 3D glasses, gets me every time)

Definitely, a great weekend even if my running has sort of been sucking lately.

Hoping to get a lot of running in this week, wish me luck!

Hope you all have a great week!
